Thrive adaptive dance

A ballet corps in white romantic tutus before a painted village.

Thrive is Bloom's adaptive dance class, created because some children benefit from extra support or a different learning environment.

Each dancer gets individualized one-on-one support from a team of background-checked, trained volunteers (some with backgrounds in education, physical therapy or speech-language pathology) working alongside a Bloom instructor; the class has welcomed dancers with Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder and many other needs and abilities.

Class looks like a typical dance class, adapted to each dancer: a circle for Bloom's rules and introductions, stretching, dance songs, learning steps and routines, listening practice and movement with props.

This season Thrive is for ages 3 to 14 (co-ed), Saturdays 10:00 to 10:30 AM at Blondo, September 2026 to May 2027, at $85 per month. Dancers wear whatever they are comfortable moving in (no bare midriffs).

Bloom offers one free Thrive trial class for first-time families, booked through the parent portal under Thrive, and support@danceatbloom.com will help you decide between Thrive and a typical classroom.
