Dress code
What to wear to class.
Bloom's regular-season dress code for every level, from Bloom's published dress code as of October 30, 2026.
For every class
- No crop tops or bare midriffs in any Bloom class; Bloom asks for modest dance attire that covers the stomach.
- Hair: long hair tightly secured away from the face in a bun or ponytail; short hair pinned back from the face. Do this before coming to class.
- No gum during class.
- From Level I up, ballet students may be asked to sit out if they are not dressed for ballet class.
- Bring a sealable water bottle; each studio has a water cooler for refills.
- Label all shoes and belongings.

Summer
Summer classes and camps
Six-week summer classes need no special attire: comfortable, fitted clothing to move in (leggings, shorts, t-shirt, tank top or leotard). Clean sneakers, ballet shoes or bare feet depending on the class; tap shoes are encouraged for tap. Hair pulled back.
Summer camps have no strict dress code beyond no crop tops or bare midriffs: dance clothes or athletic clothes the dancer can move in, labeled dance shoes (ballet or jazz; no need to buy new ones), outside shoes for outdoor activities, and a water bottle each day.
