Ages and levels

Find where your dancer fits.

At Bloom, every level is a flower. Dancers are placed by their age on October 1, so they learn alongside dancers their own age.

New to dance?

Bloom welcomes beginners at every age; classes are designed to welcome first-timers while still challenging dancers with experience, and placement is by age (as of October 1) so dancers learn alongside peers. For a dancer aged 11 or older who is new to dance, Bloom's FAQ recommends Hip Hop (rhythm, musicality and footwork, a great upbeat introduction), Seeds (worship-through-dance, enrolled by age rather than skill) or, for ages 13 and up only, Teen Dance, a class created for teens who have always wanted to dance and are just starting, with contemporary movement and dance basics at a beginner's pace. If you would like a personalised recommendation, support@danceatbloom.com will help.

For dancers new to dance, Bloom suggests a Combo class at ages 7 to 8; a Combo, Hip Hop or Seeds class at 9 to 12; and Novice, Hip Hop, Seeds or Teen Dance for teens.

Tell the guide your dancer's age.
