Ages and levels

Bloom groups regular-season classes by age, placing dancers by their age on October 1, and every class lists its exact range.

From the current schedule: Dance With Me (ages 2–3), Creative Movement (3–3.5), Tiny classes (around 4–4.5), Beginning classes (5–6), level I (7–8), level II (9–10), level III (11–12), and Novice, Intermediate and Advanced classes for ages 13–18.

Bloom's own schedule page labels these groups Seedlings, Sprouts, Petals, Violets, Rosettes, Irises, Lilies and Bouquets. Tell Bloom's guide each dancer's age and it will only confirm classes whose listed range includes that age.

For dancers new to dance, Bloom suggests a Combo class at ages 7 to 8; a Combo, Hip Hop or Seeds class at 9 to 12; and Novice, Hip Hop, Seeds or Teen Dance for teens.
